There were five games played on Friday, including the Texas AirHogs winning their third straight over the Cleburne Railroaders, and the Winnipeg Goldeyes Victor Capellan setting a franchise record for saves in the Goldeyes victory.

Lambson, Goldeyes Stymie RedHawks, 3-1
Mitch Lambson allowed one run in 7.1 innings to lead the Winnipeg Goldeyes to a 3-1 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Lambson struck out nine in his 122 pitch outing. Reggie Abercrombie had the big blow, hitting his eighth homerun and adding three RBI. The victory moved Winnipeg to 3.5 games behind the RedHawks for the top spot in the North.
Roache Blast Powers Dogs, 8-4
Victor Roache blasted a three run homer in a five-run fifth as the Chicago Dogs defeated the St. Paul Saints, 8-4. Roache finished with four RBI. Austin Wright earned the victory, allowing six hits and one run in six innings. Michael Lang had three hits for St. Paul.
Gan Quan, AirHogs Down Railroaders, 4-3
The Texas AirHogs defeated the Cleburne Railroaders for the third straight night, 4-3. Yang Jin had the big blow, a two run triple in a three-run sixth inning that helped Texas prevail. Gan Quan pitched an absolute gem, allowing three runs in eight innings for his first victory season. The win was the third straight one run victory for Texas.
Five Run Eighth Helps Saltdogs Prevail, 6-3
The Lincoln Saltdogs erased a 3-1 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the eighth as they defeated the Kansas City T-Bones, 6-3. Josh Mazzola scored two runs for Lincoln and Tyler Anderson pitched three outstanding innings to earn the victory.
RailCats Staff Shuts Down Milkmen, 6-1
Five Gary Southshore RailCats pitchers combined to allow seven hits and one run as Gary Southshore defeated the Milwaukee Milkmen, 6-1. After Frank Moscatiello allowed one run in three innings to start the game, the bullpen was dominating, allowing three hits and no runs over the next six innings. Colin Willis finished with two RBI for the RailCats.
American Association Notes
Closer Victor Capellan set a Winnipeg Goldeyes single season record with his 23rd save of the season. He is already the career leader in that category for the franchise…The Milkwaukee Milkmen’s losing streak reached eight games.
