There were six games scheduled in the American Association on Wednesday, including the Sioux City Explorers edging the St. Paul Saints in walk-off fashion and the Winnipeg Goldeyes putting up 19 hits for the second straight night.

Walk-Off Sac Fly Wins It for Explorers, 3-2
For the second straight night, the Sioux City Explorers defeated the St. Paul Saints, 3-2. However, this time, the Explorers would win it when Sebastian Zawada drove home the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning. Drew Stankiewicz drove in two runs for Sioux City. Eddie Medina tossed seven outstanding innings for the Saints, but earned a no-decision.
Comstock Homer Gives RedHawks Win in 10, 5-4
Daniel Comstock homered with two down in the top of the 10th inning to give the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks a 5-4 victory over the Gary Southshore RailCats. Comstock finished with two RBI for the RedHawks and Correlle Prime scored two runs. Geoff Broussard closed the contest out for his 22nd save of the season. Alex Crosby had three hits and two RBI for the RailCats
Five Run Third Too Much for Railroaders, 5-2
The Kansas City T-Bones downed the Cleburne Railroaders on Wednesday, 5-2, scoring all of their runs in the third inning. Mason Davis drove home a pair in the frame with a two run triple. That was all the run support that Jonathan Perrin needed, who tossed six shutout innings, striking out nine.
Milkmen Down Dogs, 7-2
The Milwaukee Milkmen defeated the Chicago Dogs on Wednesday, 7-2. Manuel Boscan led the way for Milwaukee, blasting his ninth homer of the year while driving in three for the Milkmen. Derek Reddy scored three runs for Milwaukee and Joey Wagman won his first game of the year, allowing two runs in 5.1 innings.
Goldeyes Batter Saltdogs, 11-6
For the second straight night, the Winnipeg Goldeyes recorded 19 hits and put up double digit runs, downing the Lincoln Saltdogs, 11-6. Every player in the Goldeyes starting lineup had at least one hit, including Tyler Hill, Reggie Abercrombie, and Dominic Ficociello, who each had three. Mitch Lambson earned his league leading 10th victory of the season.
AirHogs Edge Canaries Late, 5-4
The Texas AirHogs broke a 4-4 tie when Stephen Haviar drove home the go ahead run with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth as Texas defeated the Sioux Falls Canaries, 5-4. Brett Eibner earned the victory with a perfect inning of relief and Tyler Matzek closed the contest out for his third save of the season.

The Sioux City Explorers have won four straight games. Two of those have been against the St. Paul Saints, who have now lost five in a row…Dogs outfielder David Olmed0-Barrera has reached base in 31 consecutive games, fourth longest in the league this season.
