Goldeyes Hang on to Down Saints, 7-6
The Winnipeg Goldeyes took the rubber match of their five game series with the St. Paul Saints, 7-6. Winnipeg took a 6-1 lead after a pair of three run innings in the third and fourth frame, but St. Paul would battle back behind two homers from Josh Allen. The Saints pulled within one, but Victor Capellan came on in the ninth to close the door for his 18th save of the season.
Reynolds Big Night Leads Canaries, 11-2
Burt Reynolds homered and drove in five as the Sioux Falls Canaries downed the Texas AirHogs, 11-2. Reynolds was also a perfect 5-5 at the plate. Keaton Steele tossed seven shutout innings to earn his first victory of the season in his 10th start. Kevin Taylor and Mitch Glasser scored three runs apiece for Sioux Falls. Matt Dean had three hits in his debut for Texas.

Goldeyes closer Victor Capellan set an American Association record when he made his 221st appearance. That is the most appearances by a pitcher in league history, surpassing Dustin Cameron… Winnipeg starter Kevin McGovern won his fifth straight game on Monday. That is the longest winning streak in the American Association this season…Saints outfielder Max Murphy extended his hitting streak to 10 games…Canaries IF/Hitting Coach Mitch Glasser returned to the team after playing for Team Israel in the World Baseball Cup qualifying round.
