Game Recaps for Friday
Canaries Win Slugfest
The Gary SouthShore RailCats hit six home runs, but could not shut down the Sioux Falls Canaries, as they fell, 13-12. This was a wild affair that saw the RailCats score runs in six of their opportunities while the Canaries scored in five of their frames. The teams combined for 30 hits and 10 walks.
The Canaries got on the board first, scoring a run of the top of the first on the third homer of the season by Victor Nova. An inning later, Emmanuel Tapia hit his first home run of the game to lead off the inning, and Daniel Lingua added his first homer, a two-run shot. The lead did not last long, as Darnell Sweeney drilled a three-run homer in the bottom half of the frame, his fourth of the year, and Jordan Barth followed with his third blast of the season. Sioux Falls took the lead with three in the fourth, and Gary SouthShore cut the deficit to two in the top half of the fifth.
In the sixth, Jesus Marriaga hit a two-run homer to tie the score, but Jabari Henry put Sioux Falls back on top with his second home run of the season, a two-run shot, in the bottom half of the inning. The RailCats were not done, as Lingua led off the seventh with his second homer of the night, and Sioux Falls extended their lead to three thanks to a two run double by Welington Dotel in the bottom of the seventh. In the eighth, Tapia hit his second home run of the night and fifth of the season, and Lingua delivered a two run double to knot the score. The RailCats loaded the bases before LG Castillo was hit by a pitch, putting Gary SouthShore back on top. It was an incredible comeback, but the Canaries were not done, scoring two in the bottom half of the inning as Wyatt Ulrich singled to tie the score and an error brought home Hunter Clanin with the game-winning run.
Lingua finished 3-4 with three runs scored and five RBI. Francisco Del Valle scored three runs and Marriaga and Tapia each drove in a pair. Sweeney, Dotel, and Henry each had three hits and drove in three for the Canaries. The teams combined for nine homers.

Bartow Dominates in Milkmen Victory
Frankie Bartow allowed one run in six innings as the Milwaukee Milkmen defeated the Chicago Dogs, 5-1. Three relievers finished off the victory, tossing a scoreless inning of relief.
Milwaukee took the lead in the top of the first thanks to an RBI single by Miguel Gomez and a run-scoring double by Cam Balego. In the fourth, Balego led off with his second homer of the season and the Milkmen extended the lead to five with an RBI double by Drew Ward in the fifth, and a single by Justin Williams two batters later.
Bartow gave up a leadoff double in the bottom of the first, then retired the next 11 batters before giving up a one out walk in the fourth. Chicago finally got on the board thanks to an RBI double by Ryan Lidge in the sixth, but that was all the offense they would produce.
Ward finished 2-4 with two runs scored and RBI and Balego had two hits and two RBI for Milwaukee. Brennan Metzger and Lidge each had two hits for Chicago.
DockHounds Rally to Down Goldeyes
The Lake Country DockHounds rallied from a three-run deficit to earn a 5-4 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The teams exchanged runs in the first, and the Goldeyes took the lead in the top of the second on an RBI single by Dayson Croes. In the top of the third, Winnipeg added two more runs, but an error allowed a run to score in the bottom half of the frame, cutting the deficit to two.
From there, Lake Country chip away at the Goldeyes lead, scoring single runs in the fifth, sixth, and finally plating the winning run in the ninth. Blake Tiberi added an RBI single in the fifth and Nick Banks tied the score with a single of his own in the sixth. In the ninth, Demetrius Sims led off with a double, and Marcus Chiu followed with a walk off single to give the DockHounds the victory.
Jojanse Torres earned the victory. Sims and Tiberi each had three hits for the DockHounds and Croes was 4-5 with a run scored and an RBI for Winnipeg.

RedHawks Overcome Early Deficit
The Lincoln Saltdogs scored three runs in the top of the first, but the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks responded with six unanswered runs to earn a 6-4 victory. Kevin McGovern earned the victory, allowing three earned runs in seven innings while striking out 11. Tanner Riley came on in the ninth to close out the contest for his first save of the season.
An error gave Lincoln a one run lead, and Nick Anderson followed with a two-run homer, his league-leading ninth of the season. The RedHawks got one of those runs back in the bottom of the first, then began to methodically chip away at the lead. In the fourth, Correlle Prime hit a two-run homer, his third of the season, and Leobaldo Pina put Fargo-Moorhead on top with his third home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth. In the seventh, the RedHawks extended the lead, as Evan Alexander singled home a run and he later scored on a groundout. Anderson cut the deficit to two with an RBI single, but the RedHawks bullpen shut the door. Anderson finished with three hits and drove in three.

Cougars Score Two in Ninth to Down Explorers
The Kane County Cougars scored two runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Sioux City Explorers, 3-2. That made a winner of C.J. Eldred, who allowed two runs in eight innings to earn his first victory of the season. Daniel Bies earned his third save of the season with a scoreless ninth. Solomon Bates took the loss despite giving up just three runs in eight innings.
The game was scoreless through the first three innings, but Kane County took the lead in the fourth thanks to a sacrifice fly by Jimmy Kerrigan. Sioux City took the lead in the bottom of the fifth on back-to-back doubles by Eury Perez and Jake Sanford, and looked like they would come away with a one run victory. However, T.J.
