Alvarez Outduels Devine, Milkmen Win, 1-0
Henderson Alvarez allowed just two hits over eight innings, outdueling St. Paul Saints starter Mike Devine as the Milwaukee Milkmen prevailed, 1-0. Alvarez allowed hits in each of the first two innings, then set down 21 straight batters before his night was over. Peyton Gray came on to record his 13th save of the season. Christian Correa drove in the only run of the game with an RBI single in the second.
Devine was the hard luck loser. He allowed one unearned run in 8.1 innings and struck out 13.

RedHawks Soar to Eighth Straight Victory
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks continue their impressive surge, winning their eighth straight game, this time a 7-3 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries. Leobaldo Pina had the big bat, hitting his fourth homer of the season and driving in four in the win. Left-hander Kevin McGovern won his first game since joining the RedHawks.
Dogs-Goldeyes Postponed
The Chicago Dogs-Winnipeg Goldeyes contest was postponed due to weather. It will be made up as part of a double-header on Wednesday.
Daily Notes
The impressive run of Milwaukee Milkmen closer Peyton Gray continues. The right-hander tossed a scoreless frame on Tuesday, giving him 28 innings without allowing a run this season…Canaries outfielder Logan Landon extended his hitting streak to 19 games on Tuesday…Mike Devine struck out 13 on Tuesday night, the second most in Saints history. Roy Smith holds the record of 14, set in 1999.
