Dogs Dominate Saltdogs, Railroaders Cruise, PURE Performance Honors

Six-Run Second Propels Dogs
The Chicago Dogs scored six runs in the second inning on their way to an 11-4 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Brennan Metzger led Chicago with three hits, including hitting his seventh homerun of the season. Metzger drove in three, as did Michael Crouse who was 2-5 with his 13th homer of the year. T.J. Bennett also went deep as part of a three-hit performance. Harrison Smith scored three runs and Christian Freidrich earned the victory was seven solid innings.
Josh Altmann led Lincoln with two hits, including hitting his 23rd homerun of the year. Edgar Corcino also went deep.
Railroaders Dominate Canaries in Series Opener
The Cleburne Railroaders scored six unanswered runs to down the Sioux Falls Canaries, 6-1. Cleburne scored two in the third, a run in the fourth, and three in the seventh before Sioux Falls could get on the board with a run in the ninth. Austin Fairchild tossed 4.1 scoreless innings for the Railroaders and Emerson Martinez earned the victory with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief. Alay Lago drove in a pair of runs and Colton Pogue had three hits and scored two runs.
Shamoy Christopher knocked in the only run of the game for Sioux Falls.
