Milkmen Clinch with Win in 11, 3-2
The Milwaukee Milkmen became the first team to clinch a playoff spot when Logan Trowbridge scored the winning run after Jose Sermo reached on an error to give the team a 3-2 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Peyton Gray earned his third victory of the season with two scoreless innings of relief. Adam Walker II hit his league leading 22nd homerun of the season for the Milkmen. RedHawks starter Matt Tomshaw earned a no-decision, but allowed just two runs while striking out 13 in nine innings.
Samson Drives Home Game-Winner in 12th to Lead Saints, 7-6
Nate Samson drove home Alonzo Harris with the winning run in the top of the 12th inning and Jameson McGrane tossed three outstanding innings of relief as the St. Paul Saints defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 7-6. With two down, Samson lined a triple to the wall that easily scored Harris. McGrane had come on in the ninth, and tossed three hitless innings, striking out five. Mitch Ghelfi homered and drove in three for the Saints.
Landon Leads Canaries to 11-4 Victory over Dogs
Logan Landon had four hits and drove in four to help the Sioux Falls Canaries defeat the Chicago Dogs, 11-4. The Canaries took control of this game with four runs in the second and three in the third. Landon drove in runs in each of those frames. Ty Culbreth recorded his best performance since July 8, allowing two runs in seven innings to earn his third victory of the season.
