Adam Brett Walker II Given PURE Performance Player Honors

The Minor League Sports Report and This Week in the Association announced that Milwaukee Milkmen outfielder Adam Brett Walker II has been named the PURE Performance Player of the Week for Week 6. Walker had a powerful week, hitting .400 with six homers and 12 RBI.

The Milkmen started off the week against the Kansas City Monarchs and Walker had quite a series, getting better as the four games set went along. He started out 0-4 in the opening contest, then went 1-3 on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Milwaukee outfielder went 1-4 with a homerun and a run batted in. He closed the series with a 3-5 performance, hitting three home runs and driving in seven in an 11-9 victory over the Monarchs on Thursday. In the series, Walker went 5-16 with four runs scored, four home runs, and eight RBI.

Next, the team took on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks and Walker continued his power surge. In the opening contest, he went 2-5 with a homerun and three runs driven in. The next night, he went 3-5 with a homer and an RBI. That gave him homeruns in four straight games, hitting six during the stretch. On Sunday, the Milwaukee outfielder went 2-4 with a run scored. In the three-game series, Walker went 7-14 with four runs scored, two home runs, and four runs driven in.

More importantly, his performance helped the team go 5-2 during the week, including closing the week with a four-game winning streak. Walker went 12-30 with eight runs scored, six homeruns, and 12 RBI. He also stole two bases. Walker was second last week with a 1.000 slugging percentage and was third with an OPS of 1.419.

For earning PURE Performance Player of the Week, Adam Brett Walker II will receive a check for $100 from PURE. Walker becomes the second Milkmen player to earn Player of the Week honors. David Washington earned the honors in Week 3. Milkmen RHP Myles Smith was named PURE Performance Pitcher of the Week in Week 4.
