Milkmen RHP Ryan Zimmerman Named Pitcher of the Week

On Monday, This Week in the Association and the Minor League Sports Report named Milwaukee Milkmen right-hander Ryan Zimmerman as the Pitcher of the Week for Week 17 of the 2023 season. Zimmerman posted a 0.00 ERA in eight innings during the week.

Ryan Zimmerman started two contests during the week, beginning on August 30 against the Kane County Cougars. The right-hander was on fire, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out 11 in seven innings. Zimmerman gave up a hit in the third and fifth innings, going just two over the minimum.

On Sunday, Zimmerman threw just one inning in preparation for the playoffs. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out two.

For the week, Zimmerman appeared in two games, tossing eight total innings. He allowed three total hits and three walks, striking out 13.

Ryan Zimmerman is in his sixth season in the American Association. He spent three years with the St. Paul Saints before joining the Milwaukee Milkmen. Zimmerman is a combined 37-23 with a 4.52 ERA.

Zimmerman is the second Milkmen pitcher to earn Pitcher of the Week honors. Kyle Mora earned the honors in Week 11.
