Ledet Sharp in Explorers Victory
Patrick Ledet went the distance for his first complete game of the season as the Sioux City Explorers edged the Kane County Cougars, 2-1. Ledet allowed one earned run and struck out seven to earn his third victory of the season. Sebastian Zawada went 2-4 with a run scored and Mitch Ghelfi drove home a run. Sioux City trailed 1-0 entering the fifth, but scored a single run in the fifth and in the seventh to supply all the run support that Ledet needed.
Luis Roman and Mitchell Reeves both went 2-4 for Kane County. Scott Harkin was solid for the Cougars, allowing two runs on five hits in seven innings while striking out nine.

Goldeyes Extend Railroaders Losing Streak
The Winnipeg Goldeyes scored runs in five of the last six innings on their way to a 10-4 victory over the Cleburne Railroaders. Winnipeg rapped out 17 hits, led by Max Murphy who went 5-5 with three runs scored. Kyle Martin and Raul Navarro each drove in three runs for the Goldeyes, who extended the Railroaders losing streak to five.
Noah Vaughan and Tyler Ryan each had three hits for the Railroaders. Colton Pogue drove home a pair of runs for Cleburne.

Dogs Down RedHawks
Ryan Lidge drove in four runs and Harrison Smith hit his fifth homer of the season as the Chicago Dogs defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, 7-3. Chicago broke open a one run game with two runs in the fifth and in the seventh. Michael Crouse scored three runs in the game and Justin Kipper earned the victory, allowing three runs in 7.2 innings pitched.
The RedHawks got three hits from Leobaldo Piña and Jordan George drove home a pair of runs with his third homer of the year. Tyler Herron was making his first start since joining Fargo, allowing three runs in two innings of work.

Lance, Bullpen Limit Apollos in Saltdogs Victory
Carson Lance allowed a run in five innings in the bullpen was outstanding as the Lincoln Saltdogs defeated the Houston Apollos, 3-2. The score was tied at one heading in the bottom of the fifth, when Lincoln scored two runs thanks to a two-run single by Josh Altmann. James Pugliese came on in the ninth to close out the game.
Abdallah Arias took the loss despite recording a solid performance, allowing one run in 4.2 innings. Alvaro Gonzalez and Yeiler Peguero each had two hits.

Monarchs Extend Winning Streak
The Kansas City Monarchs won their second game in a row, defeating the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 6-2. Gregori Vasquez, who was acquired from Gary last week, allowed one unearned run in six innings to defeat is old team. Casey Gillaspie and Jan Hernandez each hit a homerun for the Monarchs. Gillaspie finished with three RBI.
Chris Erwin was solid for the RailCats, allowing two earned runs in four innings pitched. He allowed just one hit and one walk, both of which came in the first inning when Hernandez hit a two-run homer.

Milkmen Defeat Canaries in Slugfest
The Milwaukee Milkmen defeated the Sioux Falls Canaries in a slugfest on Wednesday, 12-11. Adam Brett Walker homered twice in the contest, as the Milkmen hit five homers overall. David Washington also went deep for Milwaukee. Christ Conley went 1-2 with three runs scored and three RBI and Anibal Sierra also drove in three. Both Conley and Sierra hit home runs as well.
Logan Landon had a big day for Sioux Falls in the loss, going 3-5 with a pair of home runs. He drove in four. Jabari Henry also had three hits and Charlie Valerio double twice and scored two runs.
