RedHawks, Goldeyes Open Series with Slugfest, PURE Performance Honorees Named

Jordan, Krause Lead RedHawks to Victory
Jordan George and Kevin Krause each drove in three runs as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks opened their series with the Winnipeg Goldeyes with a 12-9 victory. Krause had a huge evening, going 2-4 with three runs and three RBI. He also hit his third homer of the year. Jordan had three hits, as did Leobaldo Pina and Correlle Prime.
This was a wild affair from the start. Winnipeg scored five-runs in the top of the second only to see Fargo battle back with five in the bottom half of the frame. The Goldeyes scored two in the fourth and in the fifth, but the RedHawks responded in each of those innings, scoring three in the bottom of the fourth and four in the fifth.
Jay Gonzalez had four hits and drove in three for Winnipeg. Sonny Ulliana also drove in three runs.

Kansas City Monarchs RHP Cody Mincy was named the PURE Performance Pitcher of the Week after posting a 0.75 ERA in two starts…Milwaukee Milkmen OF Adam Brett Walker II was named the PURE Performance Player of the Week. Walker hit six homers during the week.
