In today’s edition of American Association Daily Recap, Robert Pannier recaps a great evening in the American Association, including the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks seeing their eight game win streak snapped and the Goldeyes losing their 10th straight.
Dogs Homer Five Times to Down Goldeyes, 10-6
Tyler Ladendorf and Kelly Dugan each homered twice and Joey Terdoslavich added his 13th homer of the year as the Chicago Dogs defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 10-6. After Winnipeg took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Chicago responded with seven runs in the bottom half of the inning. Ladendorf, Dugan, and Terdoslavich each hit a homerun in the frame. Ladendorf cleared the bases with a grand slam. Kyle Martin homered twice for the Goldeyes who lost their 10th straight game.

Canaries Win in 11 to Snap RedHawks Streak, 4-1
Damek Tomscha homered in the top of the 11th as part of a three-run frame and the Sioux Falls Canaries defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, 4-1. Tyler Herron and John Anderson were locked in a great pitchers’ duel that forced extra frames. With one down in the 11th, Tomscha hit his 10th homer of the year and Mike Hart added a two-run triple to extend the lead to three. Grady Wood earned the victory with two scoreless innings of relief and Keaton Steele recorded his league leading 15th save.

Saints Dominate Milkmen, 9-2
Chris Chinea and Chuck Taylor each drove in three runs as the St. Paul Saints kept their playoff hopes alive with a 9-2 victory over the Milwaukee Milkmen. The Saints took a 9-1 lead after five, scoring two in the first, three in the third, and four in the fifth. Taylor and Alonzo Harris each homered for St. Paul. Nick Belzer earned the victory, allowing one run in five innings.
