Dogs Rally to Ground Apollos
The Chicago Dogs found themselves trailing 4-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh, but scored three in the seventh and two in the eighth to defeat the Houston Apollos, 6-4. The long ball was the difference as Michael Crouse hit a three-run shot to tie the score and Ryan Lidge added a two-run blast to give his team the victory. John Baker earned the win, tossing 1.2 innings of shutout relief.
That ruined a solid start for Matt Cronin, who allowed one run in five innings. David Aldrich drove in a pair of runs.

Karaviotis Hit Gives Cougars Win
Mark Karaviotis tripled with two down in the top of the ninth inning to give the Kane County Cougars a one-run lead in their 3-2 victory over the Kansas City Monarchs. The victory helped Kane County salvage one game of the weekend series. Karaviotis finished 2-3 with two RBI. Nick Lovullo went 3-4 with a run scored. Jack Fox started for the Cougars, allowing one run in six innings. Christian DeLeon earned the victory with 2.1 innings of relief.
Colin Willis was 3-4 with an RBI for Kansas City and Gabriel Guerrero went 2-4 with a run scored. John Taveras started for the Monarchs and was solid, allowing two runs in six innings.

Hills Lead Goldeyes to Victory
Tyler Hill went 3-5 with three runs driven in and Logan Hill went 3-5 with two runs scored and two RBI as the Winnipeg Goldeyes defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 10-5. Logan Hill hit his sixth homerun of the season, one of three hit by Winnipeg on the day. Kyle Martin added his 17th homer and Wes Darvill went 2-3 with three runs scored, two RBI, and a homerun. Pete Perez earned the victory, allowing two runs in 5.2 innings.
Fargo got a big day from Manuel Boscan, who went to 3-5 with two runs and an RBI. Kevin Krause drove in two runs.

Walker Homer Helps Milwaukee Complete Sweep
Adam Brett Walker II hit his league-leading 23rd homerun of the season as the Milwaukee Milkmen defeated the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 8-3. That help Milwaukee complete their weekend sweep. Walker finished 2-5 with 2 runs and two RBI. Logan Trowbridge went 3-4 with two runs scored. Trey Martin and Christian Correa were each 2-3 with a run and an RBI. Misael Siverio earned the victory, allowing three runs in seven innings.
Tommy McCarthy led the Gary offense, going 2-4 with a run and an RBI. Jesus Marriaga and Thomas Walraven each had two hits as well.

Kinman Gem Helps Saltdogs Complete Sweep
Kyle Kinman tossed 5.1 scoreless innings to lead the Lincoln Saltdogs to a 6-3 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries, helping the team complete the sweep. Kinman allowed three hits and walked five while striking out eight. James Pugliese got the final two outs for his 15th save of the season. Yanio Perez went 4-5 with a run and a homerun. Curt Smith went 2-3 with a run and an RBI.
Tyler Garkow took the loss but pitched very well, allowing two runs in five innings. Cade Gotta went 2-4 with an RBI.

Manzueta Hurls Railroaders to Victory
Jheyson Manzueta allowed three runs in 6.2 innings to earn his fourth victory of the season as the Cleburne Railroaders defeated the Sioux City Explorers, 4-3. Cleburne jumped out to a 4-0 lead, scoring all their runs within the first two innings of the contest. Sioux City battled back to pull within one, but Edward Cruz closed the door for his second save of the season. Osvaldo Martinez went 2-4 with two runs scored and Alay Lago also went 2-4, driving in a pair of runs.
Chris Clare went 2-4 with a run and an RBI for Sioux City. José Sermo hit his 19th homerun of the year.
