AirHogs Blanked by Railroaders, 10-0
It was a rough outing for the AirHogs today as the offense just couldn’t get anything started, but Quan looked solid for the first 5 innings. Quan ran into some serious trouble in the 6th inning when 3 runs crossed the plate opening the floodgates for the Railroaders offense. The AirHogs could only muster together two hits, while giving up three home runs to the visiting Railroaders in a game they lost 10-0.
In the third inning Quan gave up a solo home run to Railroaders center fielder Zach Nehrir, but was able to escape the inning otherwise unscathed. After a scoreless fourth and a scoreless fifth inning Quan moved to the 6th inning where he ran into serious trouble. Quan gave up a solo home run to the leadoff man Chase Simpson. He followed that up with a single to the catcher Nester and a walk to Buck who both came around to score after he was pulled for Guoqing. Quan went 5 innings allowing 4 runs on 6 hits when he left.
The AirHogs would allow 6 more runs to cross in the final three innings. One of which was a three run bomb to Hunter Clanin off a pitch from Mi Jia Hong in the 7th inning. Brett Eibner allowed a run to score off a double to Chase Simpson, and Cui Enting allowed two runs to cross the plate in the 9th inning bringing the final score to 10-0.
The AirHogs will have their chance at redemption tomorrow as they play game three of this four game series in Grand Prairie against the Cleburne Railroaders. First pitch will be tomorrow at 2:05 PM with RHP Travis Ballew on the mound for the Texas AirHogs and for the Cleburne Railroaders it will be RHP Stephen Johnson getting the nod.
