There were six games scheduled, including the Cleburne Railroaders defeating the St. Paul Saints in a battle of first place teams and the Texas AirHogs saw their four game winning streak snapped.

Simpson Grand Slam Sends Railroaders Past Saints, 5-1
Chase Simpson broke open a great pitchers’ duel, blasting his 16th homer of the year as the top team in the South, the Cleburne Railroaders, defeated the top team in the North, the St. Paul Saints, 5-1. Eudis Idrogo pitched seven outstanding innings for the victory, allowing just one run. Ryan Zimmerman earned a no-decision for St. Paul, allowing one run in seven innings.
Tamburino Blanks Saltdogs, 3-0
Michael Tamburino tossed eight shutout innings, as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks defeated the Lincoln Saltdogs, 3-0. Tamburino allowed two hits while striking out 13, and Geoff Broussard come on to record the final three outs for his 17th save of the season. Chris Jacobs had three hits for the RedHawks.
Tago Gem Helps Explorers Win, 3-2
Pete Tago tossed six shutout innings helping lead the Sioux City Explorers to a 3-2 victory over the Gary Southshore RailCats. The Explorers led 3-0 before Gary would score two in the seventh to pull within one. However, Matt Pobereyko closed the game out for his 17th save of the season, striking out two. Nate Samson led the offense with two hits, a run, a triple, and an RBI.
Milkmen Rally to Down Dogs, 5-3
The Milwaukee Milkmen rallied from a three run deficit on Wednesday, scoring three in the seventh and two in the eighth to defeat the Chicago Dogs, 5-3. Manuel Boscan returned from the All-Star game to drive in three and Myles Smith closed out the contest for his 11th save of the season.
Goldeyes Down AirHogs, 7-2
Kevin McGovern won his ninth game of the year as the Winnipeg Goldeyes snapped the four game winning streak of the Texas AirHogs, 7-2. Carlos Garcia homered and scored two runs in his first game since joining the team. All nine players in the Winnipeg lineup had at least one hit.
Low Homer Helps Lead Canaries over T-Bones, 7-4
Graham Low homered and drove in two to help lead the Sioux Falls Canaries to a 7-4 victory over the Kansas City T-Bones. Keaton Steele earned the victory with six solid innings, allowing two runs. Brett Vertigan scored three runs for Sioux Falls.
American Association Notes
The Texas AirHogs saw their four game win streak end on Wednesday…The Sioux City Explorers extended their win streak to five games…The Lincoln Saltdogs have lost nine straight games…Kevin McGovern set a Winnipeg Goldeyes franchise record by becoming the all-time strikeout leader. His strike out of Luo Jinjun was the No. 436 for the left-hander.
