Ijames Homer Propels AirHogs to Victory
The Texas AirHogs trailed the Chicago Dogs 7-5 heading into the ninth inning on Tuesday night, but a four run frame helped propel them to a 9-7 victory. That came courtesy of Steward Ijames, who blasted a three run homer in the decisive inning. Ijames finished a perfect 4-4 with 2 runs and 5 RBI.
Knapp Shuts Down Explorers
Ricky Knapp tossed five shutout innings in relief to help the Lincoln Saltdogs down the Sioux City Explorers, 3-2. Knapp (2-1) allowed three hits in earning the victory. Christian Ibarra and Curt Smith each had two hits for Lincoln.
T-Bones Win Slugfest
The Kansas City T-Bones outslugged the Cleburne Railroaders on Tuesday night, winning 10-8. Danny Mars had 3 hits, scored 2 runs, and drove in two more. Ramsey Romano added a three-run homer in the third. The Railroaders lost despite scoring six runs in the fourth.

Vertigan Drives in Four to Lead Canaries
The Sioux Falls Canaries scored five runs in the seventh to down the Milwaukee Milkmen, 11-3. Brett Vertigan had 4 hits and 4 RBI to lead the Sioux Falls offense. Luis Pollorena (2-0) came out of the bullpen, allowing one unearned run in three innings for the victory. The Canaries are 8-2 in their last 10 games.
Winnipeg Hangs on to Down RailCats, 5-3
The Winnipeg Goldeyes held a 5-0 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth, only to see the Gary Southshore RailCats battle back with three runs and have the tying run at the plate before Victor Capellan came on to close the door in the 5-3 victory. Parker French (2-0) was outstanding for Winnipeg, nearly going the distance before needing a little help from Capellan. He went 8.2 innings, allowing 7 hits and 3 runs while striking out 8.
Four Run Eighth Helps Saints Prevail
The St. Paul Saints gave up a 3-2 lead when the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks scored two runs in the top of the eighth to take a 4-3 lead. However, St. Paul came back with four in the bottom half of the inning to earn the 7-4 victory. Max Murphy and Brady Shoemaker both homered for St. Paul and Todd Van Steensel came on to record his sixth save of the season.
