Perrin Stymies Railroaders, T-Bones Win, 7-1
Jonathan Perrin earned his first win in a Kansas City uniform, allowing 5 hits and one run in seven innings as the T-Bones defeated the Cleburne Railroaders, 7-1. Danny Mars had 3 hits and drove in three and Roy Morales continued his hot start, going 2-3 with 3 runs scored. The victory moves Kansas City a half game behind Cleburne in the South Division.
Garcia Muzzles Saltdogs
After struggling through his worst outing of the year, Sioux City Explorers starter Jason Garcia (5-1) allowed one run in 7 innings as the Explorers battered the Lincoln Saltdogs, 9-1. Garcia allowed 6 hits while striking out 8. Jose Sermo, Dexture McCall, and Drew Stankiewicz each had 2 RBI for Sioux City.
Kessay, Bullpen Lead RedHawks, 7-1
Sebastian Kessay (4-0) remained undefeated, allowing 4 hits and a run in 5 innings to lead the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks to a 7-1 victory over the St. Paul Saints. The bullpen tossed four shutout innings and Tim Colwell and Correlle Prime each homered. Devan Ahart had 3 hits, 3 runs scored, and 2 RBI. The loss snapped the Saints seven game winning streak.
Dawson Leads RailCats to Victory
Chase Dawson tripled twice and drove in five runs as the Gary Southshore RailCats defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 8-3. The RailCats blew this game open with three runs in the fourth and fifth. Lars Liguori (3-2) earned the victory with 6.1 solid innings.
AirHogs-Dogs PPD
The Texas AirHogs and Chicago Dogs game was postponed due to rain. The contest will be made up on July 5.
