Murphy Homer Gives Saints 15-13 Victory
Max Murphy continued his torrid run, hitting a two-run homer in the top of the 10th to give the St. Paul Saints a 15-13 victory. Chesney Young also homered and drove in four. The Saints held a 12-3 lead, but five runs in the fifth and eighth helped the Sioux Falls Canaries to battle back to tie the score. However, Murphy’s two out homer helped St. Paul take three of four from Sioux Falls.

Wild Pitch Delivers Walk-Off Win for Saltdogs
The Lincoln Saltdogs took the final contest of their three game series with the Milwaukee Milkmen, thanks to a walk-off wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning. Kurt Heyer and Kyle Kinman both threw eight outstanding innings, forcing extra innings. In the final frame, the Saltdogs would load the bases before a wild pitch brought Alex Glenn home with the winning run.
Railroaders Complete Sweep
After battling back to win the suspended game from Wednesday night, 10-8, the Cleburne Railroaders scored four in the eighth to defeat the Texas AirHogs in the regularly scheduled game, 7-3. Daniel Robertson homered, scored three runs and drove in two. Jonathan Rodriguez drove in three runs.
Explorers Win Late, 7-4
The Sioux City Explorers scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to win the rubber match of their series with the Kansas City T-Bones, 7-4. Drew Stankiewicz drove in the go ahead run with a bases loaded walk and Dylan Kelly completed the scoring with an RBI double. Nate Gercken earned the victory with two scoreless innings of relief.

Goldeyes Batter Dogs, 15-1
The Chicago Dogs were absolutely battered Thursday night, falling to the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 15-1. Willy Garcia homered and drove in four and Reggie Abercrombie and Kevin Garcia drove in three apiece. Mitch Lambson tossed his second straight complete game, allowing seven hits and one run.
RedHawks Down RailCats in Rain-Shortened Affair
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks completed the three game sweep of the Gary Southshore RailCats, 2-1 in a rain shortened seven inning affair. Mike Tamburino allowed a run on four hits in six innings to earn the victory and Tim Colwell and Yhoxian Medina each drove in a run for the RedHawks.
American Association Notes
The St. Paul Saints set a franchise record for runs scored in a four game series, plating 55 in their four game set with the Sioux Falls Canaries. The 93 total runs scored in the series was also a franchise record…Saints outfielder Max Murphy was 13-23 with 11 runs scored, 5 homers, and 13 RBI in the series. Teammate Dan Motl went 3-5 on Thursday. It was his fifth straight game with at least three hits, extending his hitting streak to 10 games…The Cleburne Railroaders snapped their five game losing streak…Despite losing to the Saltdogs on Thursday, the Milwaukee Milkmen have already won four series this season. They have yet to sweep a series.
