Lambson Dominates, Goldeyes Win Late
Mitch Lambson (5-1) allowed two runs in eight innings, and the Winnipeg Goldeyes would score the decisive run in the top of the ninth to down the Sioux City Explorers, 3-2. Kevin Garcia drove home the go ahead run and Victor Capellan came on to record his American Association leading 13th save. Lambson has won four straight.
Murphy Walk-Off Completes Saints Comeback
Spencer Jones tossed seven scoreless innings for the St. Paul Saints, but it would take a little late inning theatrics for St. Paul to pull out the victory. The Texas AirHogs jumped on reliever Landon Beck for three runs in the eighth, but the Saints would tie the score on a two run double by Joey Wong in the bottom of the ninth. Max Murphy would follow with a walk-off single to give St. Paul the 4-3 victory.
Gunn Silences Saltdogs
Michael Gunn tossed 5.1 shutout innings as the Cleburne Railroaders defeated the Lincoln Saltdogs, 8-2. Chase Simpson drove home three for Cleburne. Logan Trowbridge added two hits, two runs, and two RBI.
No big surprise that the contest between the Chicago Dogs and Kansas City T-Bones was suspended due to rain. Kansas City led 1-0. The game will continue at 3:30 on Thursday. It is the eighth time the T-Bones have had a game postponed this season. Rain is not expected in Chicago today.
