Prime Homers Twice, RedHawks Win…Again
Correlle Prime homered twice as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks swept the Sioux Falls Canaries, 11-6. Prime had three hits and added five RBI. Devan Ahart and Chris Jacobs each had two RBI for the RedHawks. Ryan Williams earned his second win in as many starts. Mike Hart had three hits and two RBI for the Canaries.
T-Bones, Dogs Split Double-Header
The Kansas City T-Bones and Chicago Dogs split their double-header on Thursday. Game 1 was the continuation of Wednesday’s suspended contest. Chicago entered the game trailing 1-0, but took the lead with a pair of runs in the third and fourth. In the sixth, the Dogs blew the game open, scoring five. Keon Barnum led the offense with two homers and four RBI. Former Chicago Cubs great Carlos Zambrano earned his first victory of the season.
In Game 2, the Kansas City T-Bones scored six runs through the first three frames on their way to a 7-3 victory. Chris Colabello, who had homered in the opening contest, also went deep in this game. He scored three runs. Casey Gillaspie also homered, his sixth of the season. Kenny Koplove earned his first victory for Kansas City.
Garcia, Goldeyes Down Explorers, 9-7
The Winnipeg Goldeyes jumped out to an 8-1 lead, then hung on to down the Sioux City Explorers, 9-7. Willy Garcia hit his team leading sixth homer and drove in two to lead the offense. Victor Capellan came on in the ninth to earn his league leading 14th save. Michael Lang homered twice for Sioux City.

Nester Helps Railroaders Sweep
John Nester homered and drove in three to help the Cleburne Railroaders complete their sweep of the Lincoln Saltdogs. Ryan Brett homered for the Railroaders in his first game with Cleburne. A four run third was the decisive frame as Grant Buck added an RBI single and Nester followed with a three run blast. Jesus Sanchez (4-2) earned the victory with six solid innings.
Mooney Helps RailCats Win in 10
Marcus Mooney helped the surging Gary Southshore RailCats to earn the extra inning victory on Thursday as his one out homer in the 10th gave the RailCats the 6-5 victory over the Milwaukee Milkmen. Evan Marzilli had three hits and scored two runs for Gary. Manuel Boscan led the Milkmen with two RBI.
American Association Notes
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks moved their win streak to 10 straight games on Thursday. The Sioux Falls Canaries lost their eighth straight game.
