Chicago Dogs OF Narciso Crook Named American Association Player of the Week

Dogs OF Narciso Crook Named Player of the Week
On Monday, This Week in the Association and the Minor League Sports Report named Chicago Dogs outfielder Narciso Crook as the Player of the Week for Week 11 of the 2024 American Association season. Crook had an impressive week, hitting .556 to begin the 2024 season.
The Chicago Dogs played a three game series with the Gary SouthShore RailCats to begin the season and Crook was impressive, going 5-9 with five runs scored, three home runs, and six RBI.
The season opener saw Crook go hitless in two at-bats, but he scored a run, drove in a run, added a walk, and a sacrifice fly in a 3-0 victory. A night later, the outfielder went 2-3 with a run and an RBI. He doubled and drew his second walk of the season in a 5-2 victory. On Sunday, Crook secured the honor, homering three times and driving in five in an 8-5 victory. The Dogs slugger went 3-4 with three runs scored.
For the week, Crook hit .556 with a 1.167 slugging percentage and a 2.250 OPS. All three numbers led the league during the week.
Narciso Crook is a former Major Leaguer, who played four games for the Chicago Cubs in 2022. Crook spent nine seasons in the minors, hitting 79 homers and driving in 333 in 711 games. Crook played at AAA-Louisville (Cincinnati Reds) in 2019-2021, in AAA-Iowa (Chicago Cubs) in 2022, and in AAA-Worchester (Boston Red Sox) in 2023.
