Collier Returns to Toss Gems for T-Bones
CHICAGO – The T-Bones successfully played an 11:35 a.m. game on Tuesday morning after a delay against the Chicago Dogs at the Impact Field last night. After their second straight win, 9-1 over the Dogs today, the T-Bones have now improved their record to 19-17.
It was also a special game as the team celebrated catcher Roy Morales’s birthday. 5557 people attended the sunny game in Rosemont, Illinois.
Tommy Collier and Carlos Diaz were put back in the rotation after a few games out of the role. While Pitcher Austin Wright started for the Dogs.
The game started off slow with the first inning remaining scoreless. Danny Mars hit a single, then was caught stealing second base.
Casey Gillaspie stepped up to the plate with a fierce mentality, hitting multiple RBI’s during the game. His RBI’s moved him up to fifth in the rankings.
In the third inning, the bases were loaded, and Gillaspie hit a single RBI that brought Mason Davis home.
Danny Mars had a single hit in the third inning that brought the T-Bones score to 2-1. Casey Gillaspie hit another two- run RBI that brought the T-Bones advantage to 5-1.
In the sixth inning, Tice hit a ball to left field that sent Mason Davis to first base and created the second out. The score was 6-1.
In the seventh inning, Mason Davis hit a single RBI that got him to first base, and. Forrest Allday, put the T-Bones up to 7-1.
In the top of the ninth inning, Allday hit an RBI that sent him to first. Roy Morales advanced to second, and Shawn O’Malley scored for the T-Bones, making the score 9-1.
The winning pitcher was Tommy Collier (3-3), and the losing pitcher was Austin Wright (1-5).
