Tomshaw Shuts Down Saints, 8-2
Matt Tomshaw went the distance, holding the St. Paul Saints to two ninth innings runs as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks prevailed, 10-2. Tomshaw allowed eight hits and did not walk a batter in tossing his first complete game of the season. Forrestt Allday had three hits and drove in three and Brennan Metzger also had three hits and scored two runs to lead the Fargo-Moorhead offense.

Kussmaul Dominates in 3-1 Milkmen Victory
Ryan Kussmaul struck out 10 in seven innings to lead the Milwaukee Milkmen to a 3-1 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries in the rubber match of their series. Kussmaul allowed three hits and one unearned run in earning his third win of the season. Mason Davis led the Milkmen offense, driving in a pair of runs.

Dorminy Leads Dogs to Sweep of Goldeyes, 7-2
Thomas Dorminy won his American Association leading fifth game of the season as the Chicago Dogs completed their sweep of the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 7-2. Chicago took the lead against Goldeyes starter Frank Duncan, scoring in three of the first four innings, helping them take a 4-1 lead. Harrison Smith, K.C. Hobson and Edwin Arroyo each drove in two runs, and Smith connected on his fifth homer of the year. The victory moved the Dogs 1.5 games behind Winnipeg for the top spot in the American Association standings.

RedHawks left-hander Matt Tomshaw saw his scoreless innings streak end at 24.2. He had tossed eight scoreless innings on Thursday night to extend the streak, but gave up two runs in the bottom of the ninth…The Chicago Dogs tied the Sioux Falls Canaries for the longest road winning streak this season, winning their fifth in a row on Thursday. Sioux Falls set their mark from July 7-16.
