Monarchs Thrash Explorers
Colin Willis drove in six runs to lead the Kansas City Monarchs to a 12-3 thrashing of the Sioux City Explorers. Willis had four hits, including hitting his 14th homerun of the season. Kansas City trailed by a run until the top of the third when they scored a pair of runs over each of the next two frames, then added five in the fifth. Casey Gillaspie had a hit and walked three times, helping him to score three runs in the contest. Keyvius Sampson was solid for the Monarchs, allowing two runs in six innings.
Sioux City was led by Blake Tiberi with two hits and an RBI. Joseph Monge scored two runs for the Explorers.

Five-Run Eighth Propels Cougars
The Kane County Cougars scored five runs in the time of the eighth inning to take a man on their way to an 8-4 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Mark Karaviotis got the scoring going, hitting his fifth homerun of the season to start the frame. Josh Rolette added a two-run double. Jeffrey Baez also hit a homerun of the contest. Gavin LaValley had three hits and scored two runs. Connor Berry earned the victory, allowing two runs in five innings.
The RedHawks got three hits from Dylan Kelly and Alex Boxwell had two hits. Leobaldo Pina went 1-2 with three walks and three runs scored.

Vaughan Homer Powers Railroaders
Noah Vaughan hit a three-run homer to help lead the Cleburne Railroaders to a 6-3 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries. Jheyson Manzueta earned the victory, allowing one earned run in five innings. Edward Cruz came on to earn his sixth save of the year.
Cade Gotta led Sioux Falls with three hits and two RBI. The bullpen was solid for the Canaries, tossing 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.

Saltdogs-Milkmen Delayed
The contest between the Lincoln Saltdogs and the Milwaukee Milkmen was postponed in the top of the third because of rain. The contest will resume on Wednesday.
Apollos-RailCats Suspended
The contest between the Houston Apollos and the Gary SouthShore RailCats was suspended due to rain. Houston was leading 3-1, and the game will continue on Wednesday evening prior to the regularly scheduled contest.
Goldeyes-Dogs Postponed
Rained forced a postponement for the Winnipeg Goldeyes and Chicago Dogs contest. It will be made up as a double-header starting at 4:05 on Wednesday
