Kengor Drives in Seven in Monarchs Victory
Will Kengor tied a franchise mark, driving in seven as the Kansas City Monarchs defeated the Houston Apollos, 15-6. Kengor homered twice in at the contest, hitting a pair of three-run homers. He also drew two walks, one driving in a run.
The Monarchs trailed the Apollos, 6-3 heading into the bottom of the third, but scored 12 unanswered runs, including six in the fifth to take the lead for good. Michael McCullough went 4-5 with two runs scored and two RBI. Colin Willis drove in three runs and Gabriel Guerrero had three hits and scored two runs.
Yeiler Peguero went 2-4 with two runs and an RBI for Houston. Brian Dansereau drove in two runs.
