With a little over two weeks before Opening Day of the 2018 Prospect League, which is May 30, and the beginning of the 10th season for the collegiate summer league a new bat partnership has been announced. Marucci Sports has announced it will be the “Official Bat of the Prospect League,” starting this season.

According to a press release by Marucci Sports “This partnership is a special one for us, not only for the opportunity to get our bats in the hands of some of the best prospects in the game but for personal reasons as well,” said Justin Cryer, College Sales Rep for Marucci. “Several Marucci employees, including myself, are Prospect League alums, so we know firsthand how instrumental the league was to us as players, but also in our career development.”

The Terre Haute Rex will open the season in Lafayette on Wednesday, May 30th to take on the Lafayette Aviators (Loeb Stadium) at 6:35 pm. They will open up at home on Thursday, May 31st at 7:05 pm against the Lafayette Aviators at Bob Warn Field.
