In today’s edition of American Association Daily, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks rallied in the ninth to defeat the Chicago Dogs and David Washington homered twice to lead the Milwaukee Milkmen to victory.
RedHawks Rally in Ninth, 7-5
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Chicago Dogs. Drew Ward drove in the tying run with a single and Brennan Metzger walked with the bases loaded to give the RedHawks the lead.
Brent Jones earned with win with two scoreless innings of relief and Mitch Osnowitz came on to close out the game. Metzger had two hits, walked three times, and drove in two runs.

Washington Homers Twice to Lead Milkmen, 7-3
David Washington homered twice to help propel the Milwaukee Milkmen to a 7-3 victory over the St. Paul Saints. Washington homered in the top of the first and added a solo shot in the sixth. Mason Davis had a two-run blast in the third. Washington finished 3-4 with two runs scored and three RBI. Davis also had three RBI and added two runs and two hits.
Ryan Kussmaul rebounded from two tough starts to toss five solid innings, earning the victory.

Goldeyes Score Late to Defeat Canaries, 5-3
Kevin Lachance broke a 3-3 tie with his first homerun of the season as the Winnipeg Goldeyes went on to defeat the Sioux Falls Canaries, 5-3. Lachance led off the bottom of the seventh inning with his first homerun of the season, falling behind 0-2 before working the count full. The eighth pitch he drilled over the wall in right field.
Lachance finished with three hits, three runs, and an RBI. Damek Tomscha had three hits and drove in a pair for the Canaries.

The Milkmen are 3-1-1 in series this year. This is the latest they have been in first place…The Saints (16), Goldeyes (15) and Canaries (14) are each averaging at least one homerun per game.
