Smith Earns 11th Victory
Myles Smith earned his league leading 11th victory of the season on Monday as the Milwaukee Milkmen defeated the Lincoln Saltdogs, 3-1. Smith allowed four hits and one run while striking out eight. Nate Hadley came on to close out the game for his 10th save of the season.
Milwaukee jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, but Lincoln tied the score in the top of the fourth on a two-out hit by Zak Taylor. The score remained tied until the bottom of the sixth when Adam Brett Walker II drove home Brett Vertigan with a ground rule double. David Washington then brought home Logan Trowbridge to close out the scoring.
That made John Richy the hard luck loser. Richy allowed three runs in seven innings.
