In today’s edition of American Association Daily, the Milwaukee Milkmen completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago Dogs and the Sioux Falls Canaries rallied to complete a sweep of the St. Paul Saints.
RedHawks Big Inning Too Much for Goldeyes, 11-8
A nine-run fourth-inning proved to be too much for the Winnipeg Goldeyes as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks avoided a sweep with an 11-8 victory. Leobaldo Pina led the RedHawks offense with three hits and three RBI. Cito Culver also drove in three runs.
Fargo-Moorhead trailed by three entering the top of the fourth, but seven of the first eight batters reached. Christian Ibarra drove in the first run and Culver later followed with a three-run double to give the RedHawks the lead. Fargo-Moorhead closed out the inning with a three-run homer off the bat of Pina, his first of the season.

Ventura Gem Leads Milkmen to Sweep
Angel Ventura tossed six shutout innings to lead the Milwaukee Milkmen to a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Dogs on Thursday night. That completed the three-game sweep of Chicago, moving Milwaukee into first place in the American Association.
Milwaukee got a second inning homerun by Adam Walker, his first of the season to give themselves a 1-0 lead. The team extended their lead to two in the sixth when Mason Davis scored on an error and he delivered a two-run single in the eighth to plate the other two runs.

Canaries Rally Late to Complete Sweep of Dogs
The Sioux Falls Canaries trailed the St. Paul Saints 8-5 entering the top of the seventh-inning, but three runs in the seventh and four runs in the eighth put Sioux Falls on top for good as they hung on for a 12-11 victory. Both Alay Lago and Damek Tomscha drove in four runs for the Canaries. Tomscha homered for the second time this season and Logan Landon hit his first home run for Sioux Falls.
Tyler Alexander hit his first home run of the season for St. Paul. Chesney young had three hits and three RBI for the Saints who had 20 hits, but left 10 on base. The loss gave the Canaries a sweep of St. Paul.

Since dropping the first game of the season, the Milwaukee Milkmen have won four straight…Dario Pizzano of the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks and Jordan George and Logan Hill of the Winnipeg Goldeyes extended their heading streaks to six games each on Thursday evening.
