Saints Rally for Second Straight Night, 6-4
There is no place like home. That is proving to be the moniker of the St. Paul Saints, as they rallied late for the second straight night since returning to CHS Field, defeating the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, 6-4. St. Paul scored four runs in the eighth inning, extending their lead on a Mitch Ghelfi two-run single. Paul Voelker earned the victory and Jamison McGrane came on to earn his eighth save of the season.
Dogs Staff Muzzles Goldeyes, 5-1
The Chicago Dogs got five solid innings from Jake Dahlberg and the bullpen did the rest as the team defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 5-1. Blake Allemand hit a two-run homer for Chicago and Michael Crouse added a two-run single in the victory. The bullpen tossed four shutout innings of relief, striking out seven. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Dogs.
Walker Homer Powers Milkmen Win, 5-2
Adam Walker blasted a towering three-run homer to help propel the Milwaukee Milkmen to a 5-2 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries. The score was tied in the bottom of the fifth when Walker turned on a 1-0 offering, drilling it for his 10th homerun of the season. Jake Mattthys earned his third victory of the year with three solid innings of relief.
The Canaries Alay Lago saw his consecutive on-base streak end at 24 games… St. Paul won their third game when trailing after seven innings this season, most in the American Association.
